For 120 years, The Veranda has stood in the heart of Senoia, welcoming travelers, families, celebrations and generations of memories.
Today, we're not only preserving everything that makes this remarkable property special, we're reimagining what it can become for the next generation.
It Started in 1906
Built in 1906 as the Holberg Hotel, The Veranda began its life as an eight-room hotel in the small but growing town of Senoia, Georgia.
Over the decades that followed, the property reinvented itself again and again. It has been a hotel, a private residence, an inn and a bed and breakfast. There were even periods when its doors closed and the old house sat quiet, waiting for whatever would come next.
Senoia changed around it. Owners came and went. Generations passed through its doors.
Yet The Veranda remained.
People stayed here. They gathered here. They celebrated here. They sat on its porches, walked its halls and created memories within its walls.
Each generation left something behind, adding another layer to the character of a property that became inseparable from the story of Senoia itself.
When its previous owner passed away in 2021, many believed it might mark the end of The Veranda's long life as an inn.
Instead, its story was far from finished.
A New Chapter
When Jonathan Avigdori purchased The Veranda, he saw something beyond an old bed and breakfast.
He saw a beautiful piece of history waiting for its next chapter.
The character was undeniable. So was the work ahead. The property needed significant renovation, but it also needed something more: innovation.
The vision was never to erase the past or transform The Veranda into something it wasn't. It was to preserve what generations of guests had already fallen in love with, restore what time had worn away, elevate the experience and allow this extraordinary property to become everything it could be.
What followed were years of renovation, restoration, imagination and reinvention.
Room by room, space by space, The Veranda began another chapter.

What began as the restoration of a historic inn has gradually grown into a much larger vision.
