Room #1 - The 1906 Room
Where the story begins.
Named for the year The Veranda was built, the 1906 Room has a history all its own. In the early 1900s, this space served as the gentlemen’s lounge, a room for cigars, conversation and liquor before eventually being transformed into a guest room.
Today, it offers a king bed, full private bath and TV, conveniently located on the first floor.
A room that once welcomed gentlemen for an evening drink now welcomes guests for the night.

Room #2 -The Holberg Room
The Family who made it all happen
Named for the Holberg family, who built the original Holberg Hotel in 1906, this room was originally the women’s lounge, a gathering place for female guests during the hotel’s earliest years.
Today, the first-floor room features a queen bed, TV and a newly remodeled private bathroom that preserves the charm of the original space, including its original claw-foot tub, now with the option to shower.
A thoughtful blend of old and new, and a room that has been welcoming guests in one form or another for 120 years.

Room #3 -The Magnolia Room
Southern charm beneath the magnolia.
Warm, spacious and filled with natural light, the Magnolia Room takes its name from the magnificent 100-year-old magnolia tree just outside the room.
A beautiful four-poster king bed, original hardwood floors, fireplace and stained-glass details give the room its historic character, while a full private bath and TV provide modern comfort.

Room #4 -The Margaret Mitchell Room
A room connected to one of the South’s most famous stories.
The Margaret Mitchell Room takes its name from the legendary author of Gone With the Wind and a story that has been passed down through The Veranda’s history.
According to the property’s historical accounts, Mitchell visited The Veranda while researching her famous novel, interviewing Confederate veterans who gathered here and listening to their stories and memories.
Today, the room offers a king bed, full private bath and TV, surrounded by the historic character of a house with stories of its own.

Room #5 - The Princess Senoia Room
A Senoia origin story
The Princess Senoia Room honors Senoya He-ne-ha, the Creek woman whose story has long been associated with the naming of Senoia.
A member of the prestigious Wind Clan, Senoya was the wife of Captain William McIntosh and the mother of William McIntosh, who became a prominent Creek leader. Her story gave rise to the local tradition of “Princess Senoia,” a name that remains part of the community’s identity today.
With a queen bed, full private bath and TV, the room celebrates a story that reaches back long before The Veranda itself was built.

Room #6 - The William Jennings Bryan Room
A presidential chapter in The Veranda’s history.
In 1908, William Jennings Bryan stayed at the historic hotel while campaigning for President of the United States.
More than a century later, this room honors that remarkable chapter in The Veranda’s story and one of the most notable guests to pass through its doors.

Room #7 - Once Upon an Inn
120 years of stories, told through the walls of one room.
The Once Upon an Inn Room celebrates that remarkable journey through photographs from different periods of The Veranda’s history, offering a glimpse into the people, places and moments that shaped the inn over more than a century.
Today, the room offers two queen beds, a full private bath and TV, surrounded by reminders that every generation has added another chapter to The Veranda’s story.

Room #8 - The Bridal Suite
Romance surrounded by history.
For generations, The Bridal Suite has been a favorite for brides and couples celebrating some of life’s most memorable moments.
The room is filled with beautiful original period furnishings, including an ornate antique bed and armoire, complemented by original hardwood floors, a historic fireplace and the distinctive character of The Veranda.
The private full bath continues the experience with an old-fashioned claw-foot soaking tub and hand shower, creating a romantic retreat that feels connected to another era.

Room #9 - The Walking Dead Room
The show that became part of television history.
For years, Senoia served as one of the main and most recognizable filming locations for The Walking Dead, transforming streets and neighborhoods throughout town into places known to millions of fans around the world. Several of the show’s actors also stayed at The Veranda Historic Inn while filming in Senoia.
The Walking Dead Room celebrates this extraordinary chapter in Senoia’s modern history and has become a favorite among fans visiting the town where so much of the series came to life.
The room features memorabilia from the show, along with a full private bath, central heating and air, and TV.

Room #10 - The Executive Suite
An owner’s quarters, reimagined.
Before becoming The Veranda’s tenth guest room, The Executive Suite was home to generations of innkeepers. K.D. and Virginia Wood purchased the property from the Holberg family in 1978 and opened The Veranda Inn as a bed and breakfast in 1984. Bobby and Jan Boal took ownership in 2004 and began extensive renovations, followed by Fred and Laura Reynolds in 2007, who reopened the Inn and made this room their home.
After Fred passed away in 2021, the property changed ownership, was renovated and entered a new chapter, eventually reimagined and rebranded from a traditional bed and breakfast into The Veranda Historic Inn. The former owners’ quarters were transformed into its tenth guest room.
Today, the suite features a king bed, full private bath, TV, central heating and air, and a private mini coffee bar with refrigerator. A room once home to The Veranda’s innkeepers is now The Veranda’s King Executive Suite.
